Export Your Style Custom Report To Excel (Or CSV)
Extract your Style Custom Report to Excel for extended analysis and management. This is a guide on how to.
Introduction & Best Practice
Once your Style Custom Report has been generated and rearranged, you might need to extract the data to Excel for further analysis, advanced calculations, or import to other systems. In this article, we take you through the different choices you have when exporting to Excel.
Table of Contents
Before You Start
1) If you need a guide on how to create your first Style Custom Report, then read here
2) Be aware of the following when using the Export functions:
NOTE:
All exported reports are sent to your email with a link for download.
If you don't receive the email with the report, here is what you can do:
1. Check your spam filter
2. Mae sure that the email service@delogue.com is whitelisted
If you still do not receive the email, contact support@delogue.com
3) Also please note: If you have more than 200 rows in the exported file, then the Style logo (images) will not be included.
4) Supplier users can only export data they have access to. So if a custom field is set to be internal, the supplier will not be able to export the data.
Step-by-Step-Guide
Once the report is ready to be exported, you must decide what level of detail you want the data exported at. In the following, we will explain the options.
Step 1:
Start the export by clicking on the Export icon in the right-hand corner:
Step 2:
You now have teh below export options. Each option will be explained below:
options for export
Option 1. STYLE
Data will be exported exactly as you see it on the screen
Option 2. STYLE
* ONE ROW PER STYLE CERTIFICATE
With this option, each certificate or test report that has been added to a style (via the Compliance Module) will generate a separate row in the Excel report with certificate-specific columns such as certificate license number, expiry date, etc. Read more about including certificates here
Option 3. STYLE/COLOR (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
Here, the export will generate a row per style color. So if you have a style with two style colors added in the item list (ex. Red and Blue), the report will generate two rows: one for the Red color, and one for the Blue color.
NOTE: In the case that your Style Custom Report contains data about Sample Requests, these data points can not be exported per color or per color/size
Option 4: STYLE/COLOR (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
* INCLUDE COLOR GROUP
Here, the export will generate a row per style color, and an extra column will be added with teh color group the style color belongs to:
Option 5: STYLE/COLOR (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
* GROUP PER STYLE
Now you get a report with all columns, and a separate row per style color, but no style color information like in option 4.
So if you have custom fields set up per color - the data will be displayed in this export.
Option 6: STYLE/COLOR/SIZE (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
NOTE: With this option, you can export the data on SKU level
With this export, you get a row per style color (added in the item list) per active size (in the Size Chart) = SKU level. Meaning a row for all variations of the style
Option 6: STYLE/COLOR/SIZE (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
* INCLUDE COLOR GROUP
With this export, you get a row per style color, per active size + a column indicating the color group of the style color.
Option 7: STYLE/COLOR/SIZE (CAN NOT INCLUDE SAMPLE REQUEST DATA)
* INCLUDE SKU/BARCODES
With this export, you get a row per style color, per active size, plus a column with the SKU number and a column with the barcode (if it has been assigned)
Include ID's
All master data fields, custom fields, suppliers, groups, categories, etc. can have an ID that probably matches the ID you have in the ERP or other systems.
The ID's can be included in any of the export options. You just need to tick on: "INCLUDE ID'S" and a separate column for the ID's will be added to the report.
Include Care Instruction Output
Use this option if you or your supplier needs to extract the care instruction data to Excel.
First, the Care Instruction Output must be set up in Admin. Read about how to here
Once that is done and care instructions have been added to your styles, you can export the care instruction information to Excel by ticking the box: INCLUDE CARE INSTRUCTION OUTPUT
- If your output contains Icons, the export will only contain text - no images.
- Sub-tabs: If you use sub-tabs, these will be in the export. Sub-tab data will only be per color if you use one of the export options that export per color.
- Care Instruction Exceptions will not be exported.
NOTE: If you have more than 200 rows in the exported file, then the Style logo (images) will not be included.
NOTE: Supplier users can only export data they have access to.
Include Future Prices
Future Prices can only be included in the Excel export and can not be seen on the screen. Read about Future Prices here
To include in the Excel export select "Overwrite with Future Price", and then select a date where you want to see Future Prices.
The generated Excel file will include Future Prices for dates that are before the selected date you typed in.
How to get the file
Report exports will be delivered directly to your email.
Export to CSV
Style Custom Reports can also be exported in a CSV format, instead of Excel.
Just click on the CSV export icon right next to the Excel export button.
Your CSV file will be delivered directly to your email.
NOTE: The .csv export is no longer maintained. Therefore, it might not reflect all the columns you see on your screen - we recommend you export to Excel .
