Admin - set up of Two-factor authentication for your Company Users

We will guide you through setting up the two-factor login for the users in your company, how you as an admin can keep track of things and what people should do if they get a new phone.

WHAT IS 2-FACTOR LOGIN?


2-factor login is an extra layer of security you can add to your Delogue PLM account.


By using the 2-factor login you can demand that your Company Users have to type in an extra code when they log in.


This extra code the Company Users will get from the Google Authenticator - that they will need to install on their phone. This will be explained here


It is very important to notice that this will NOT work for your suppliers and their users.

HOW DOES THE COMPANY ADMIN SET IT UP?


Once your company has access to the 2-factor module - your Company Admin can start to set it up for all your Company Users.


This is done in Admin-Company Info - this is done in the Company Users list.


For each of the Company users, it is now possible to enable the 2-factor login.

Admin just has to click on the "Enable 2-factor" for the User he wants to use 2-factor


Now that Company User will have to use 2-factor login the next time he tries to login to Delogue PLM.



When Admin creates a new user - he has to create the Company User first - when that is done - Admin can set up the 2-factor login if needed. The Company User does not need to have activated his login in order for Company Admin to set up 2-factor login.

By default new Company Users do not have 2-factor login activated - this is something you as Admin has to do.

Remember:

It is only possible to set up 2-factor login for Company users - you can not do it for Supplier users.

CAN ADMIN SEE IF COMPANY USERS HAVE ACTIVATED THE 2-FACTOR LOGIN?


Yes!


Admin can in the Admin-Company Info list of Company Users see when a given User has activated the 2-factor login.


Because now the buttons have changed and there are now two buttons.


REMOVE 2-FACTOR LOGIN FOR A COMPANY USER


You can of course remove the 2-factor login functionality again for any of your Company Users.


For the Company User in question - just click on the Disable 2-factor button.

HELP - ONE OF MY COMPANY USERS GOT A NEW PHONE - GENERATE A NEW QR CODE

In case your Company Users get a new phone - you will have to regenerate the QR code for their 2-factor login.


Your Company User will have to install the Google Authenticator on his new phone.


Company Admin can now regenerate the QR code for this user - that he can use for his Google Authenticator.
