Style prices
Working with price calculation on styles
Introduction & best practice
Once your company has access to the Price module, every style gets a 'Prices' subtab. This is where you communicate your brand target price to the supplier, where the supplier answers with a supplier cost price, and where all the calculation fields set up in Admin (landed cost, mark-ups, retail price, etc.) are calculated automatically. When you and your supplier agree on a price, you approve it directly on the style, so everyone works from the same final numbers.
Best practice is to finish your price calculation setup in Admin before you start working with prices on styles - the calculation fields, currencies and default values you define there are what you see on every style.

Before you start
1) Make sure the 'Price' role is assigned to you as a user; otherwise, the 'Prices' subtab will NOT be visible on your styles. To learn more about assigning different roles to a user, click here.
2) Make sure your price calculation has been set up in Admin > Prices first - currencies, calculation fields and default values are defined there and appear on all styles. Read more about the admin setup here.
3) Your supplier can only see prices on a published style. Read more about publishing styles here.
Step-by-step guide
Open the Prices subtab
Navigate to: Styles > Prices
The 'Prices' subtab lists all the calculation fields created in Admin > Prices, in the same order.

NOTE: Prices can only be edited when the style is in the state Published, Unpublished or work in progress. In Deleted or Cancelled states, the 'Prices' subtab is visible but not editable.
Add and edit prices
Navigate to: Styles > Prices
If no price has been set on the style yet, all price fields are empty until you - or your supplier - type in a value.
- Double-click the field you want to fill in - or hover over the status and click the blue 'edit' icon
- Type your Brand target price and any other open field - the remaining fields are calculated automatically, based on the formulas set up in Admin
- Add a Brand comment if you want to explain your target price to the supplier
- Click the green 'save' icon to save your changes
- When adding a Brand target Price, you receive a notify pop-up and can select to notify the supplier directly.

TIP: Use the Brand comment and Supplier comment fields to keep the price negotiation in Delogue instead of in e-mails - the history then stays on the style.
Different prices per color or size
As a company user, you can work with different prices per color, per size, or both, using the 'Per color' and 'Per size' toggle buttons.

- Activate 'Per color' to get one price column per style color
- Activate 'Per size' to get one price column per size
- Activate both to get a price per color/size combination
- If nothing is selected, all colors and sizes share the same price
NOTE: The 'Per color' toggle is only displayed when style colors have been added to the style. In the same way, the 'Per size' toggle is only displayed when a size range has been added to the style.
Approve your prices
When you and your supplier have agreed on a price, you can approve it directly on the style.
- Hover over the 'Status' row and click the blue 'edit' icon - or double-click
- Set a checkmark to approve
- Click the green 'save' icon to finish

NOTE: If your Company Admin has activated 'Lock supplier on style price approval' in
Admin > Prices > Settings, your supplier can no longer edit the price fields once the price is approved. Read more here.
What your supplier can see
By default, your supplier(s) can only see these columns:
- Brand target price
- Brand comment
- Supplier cost price
- Supplier comment
- Status
The supplier can update the Supplier cost price and add Supplier comments.
If you have set up additional calculation fields in Admin and made them visible or editable for suppliers, they will see - or be able to edit - those fields as well. This is controlled per calculation field in Admin > Prices > Calculations.
NOTE: Your supplier can only work with prices on a style that is published.
Advanced price features
Depending on your subscription and your admin setup, you can extend the way you work with prices on styles:
- Future prices - plan and overview how your prices change over time. Read more here.
- Simulated prices - compare price calculations for the same style, e.g. based on different order quantities or material choices. Read more here.
- Advanced default values - let the system apply the correct additional costs automatically, e.g. freight depending on the supplier's country. Read more here.
NOTE: The 'Per size' and 'Per color' toggles must be deactivated for simulated prices to work.
Things that are good to know
- If prices are set per color and you activate the option 'Per size', all prices are copied to the color/size combination respective to the color.
- If you work with prices 'per color' or 'per size', you will see an average of the prices in other parts of the platform. This counts for reports, the price logs in the Communication tab, and the print thumbnail view.
- If prices are set per color/size and you deactivate the option 'Per size', the value from the first color/size combination is copied to the newly created color column. The same happens if you deactivate the option 'Per color'.
- If prices are set per color and a new style color is added, the prices are created with the default values from the price calculation.
- If prices are set per color and a style color is deleted, the prices for that color are deleted as well.
- If prices are set per size or per size/color and you change the size range of a style, the existing prices are deleted and new prices are created with the 'Per size' option, default values in the price calculation, and only the supplier cost price average value from the price matrix. The same happens if a measurement chart is imported from another style.
- If you import an item list from another style and prices are set per color or per color/size, the old color prices are deleted and new prices are created with the existing option. The average values are calculated in the price matrix tab.
Inactive colors are not included in this calculation. - All changes to prices are logged and can be followed in the Communication tab of the style.
