Import Size Charts from another style & work with Size Chart templates

Speed up the work with size charts by using the import function and templates

Introduction & Best Practice:

When working with size charts lines, grading steps, and actual measurements often already exist in other styles. So to avoid having to repeat the work of creating lines in a Size Chart, Delogue offers the possibility of importing either lines or a complete Size Chart from one style to another.

We recommend that actual "Template styles" are created in a season called "Templates". By doing so you can create a template for for example men's pants, women's pants, shirts, raglan t-shirts, etc.

Below we explain how to use the import function and we share a few examples a Size Chart template can look.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

How to import a Size Chart or selected Size Chart lines from one style to another

  • Navigate to the style you want to import a Size Chart to
  • Click on Size Chart > Find the button: "Import from Style"

  • A pop-up will appear where you can search for the style you want to import from

  • Fill in the style name or style number and select the correct style

NOTE:

1. If you import from a style with another size range only the Point of Measure and Size tags are imported.

2. If you import from a style with the same size range, but a different grading size the point of measure, Size tags, and values will be added and recalculated to fit the new grading size

3. If you import from a style with the same size range + the same grading size all data is imported

  • Now select to import the entire size chart or only some of the size chart lines
  • Choose if you want to ADD or REPLACE > click "import"
  • Read the pop-up message carefully and click "OK" to confirm confirm

VIDEO GUIDE:

Use ADD or REPLACE?

When using the import function you have several choices to make during the import

REPLACE:

  • The entire Size Chart is imported
  • Whatever lines are already created in the style importing to will be overwritten
  • If the size range is different you will see this warning - make sure to read carefully

ADD:

  • Only the selected lines are imported
  • Already created lines in the existing Size Chart will not be affected.

SIZE CHART TEMPLATES

To unify the work with Size Charts and to speed up the processes working with Size Chart templates is Delouges recommendation

1. Create in Admin > Seasons a season called "Templates"

2. Click Add style > add a style name starting with "Template - xxx"

3. Add a style number significantly different from the other styles so it does not get mixed up.

4. Add the point of measures that are always used in this kind of style, for example, a pair of pants

5. Add the normal tolerance and grading steps used

6. Add measurement comments/instructions:

7. Add the How to Measure file:

8. The template is ready and users can any time import the Size Chart into a new pants style
